Business Meeting     :                                                                                       April 16, 2023

1. Prayer : Randy Beltran

2. Establishment of quorum and reading of minutes : Jo Beltran

3. VBS  for MFABC/FBC of Wahiawa, May 29 -April 2nd in Wahiawa 

3. Mission Team will be in the Philippines starting June 4th. Baclaran for school supplies.

4. The body approved and will recommend online giving.

5. Update of Family roster for deacon ministry c/o of Jo Beltran.

6. Candidates for baptism ( Rose Ponce, Bobbie Higa-Gomes, Bathey Fong) will attend Baptism Class on April 30th at 11: 30 am . Deacons: Marlon Gante, Jun Gante, Randy Beltran, and Jay Nocasa will hold the class. 

7. Adjourn.

As a Baptist, I am committed to congregational church government. Unfortunately, some churches practice an unhealthy form of church government which does more harm than good. In these cases, acrimonious business meetings are usually a clear sign of a church that has an unhealthy inward focus and is in decline, and such hostile meetings are counterproductive to fulfilling the Great Commission. Thom Rainer comments on this problem: “Church business meetings become arguments over preferences and desires.”[1] While business meetings can be a great cause for anxiety, they need not be.
